Day 1: We set off from "the Southernmost Point in the USA" at 6 am. By mile 6 we had our first flat tire, and then another at mile 13. Too many broken beer bottles along the route. Then we made better progress but there was always a head wind. We crossed the Seven Mile Bridge, and found a motel at mile 68 to rest our weary bodies.
