Today I went to Penn Station on my bike - quite interesting biking in midtown Manhattan. I dismantled and packaged my bike a day ahead because there are no baggage facilities at New Rochelle, and Metro North won't take bikes during the peak period. It poured torrential rain the whole way. Tomorrow, I take Amtrak's Silver Meteor to Florida, leaving at 8.30 am and arriving at 7.00 am Saturday. I'm really excited.
